Chiarelli: Savard Could Be Done For Season

By Ken Socrates

Darren Dreger has tweeted that Peter Chiarelli, in Boca Raton, Florida for the NHL GM meetings, is saying Marc Savard could be done for the entire season as a result of the Grade 2 concussion he sustained from the blindside elbow he took from Pittsburgh’s Matt Cooke on Sunday. Whether this is for real or Chiarelli is obbying for a stiffer suspension on Cooke remains to be seen.

Ironically, a hot topic of those very same meetings is the NHL’s stance on blows to the head.

How timely.
